What do you say to 156 of your favorite human beings and 145 of your favorite dogs? THANK YOU!! A huge thank you to all the lovely people and even more lovely dogs that attended our 2011 PC/SR Reunion Picnic and Fund Raiser. Judging by the smiles and laughs and hugs that were all around DeKoevend Park, I would say that a wonderful time was had by all. Next year’s event will be even bigger and better (is that possible??) and we want to extend an invitation to all our volunteers and adopters to become a part of it. Tell us what you liked best and what might be fun to add to next year’s event. Everything we do is even better with you as a part of it. Volunteer with Pueblo Collie & Sheltie Rescue and be part of a miracle.

Doggie hugs and wet nose kisses. --Hope

Hi to All!

We are all celebrating right now because our sweet boy Piper Jon has agreed to become part of the Hazy clan! It was absolutely meant to be.

Piper is a sweet little lover who has a face that lights up when he’s happy (which is all the time), a tail that happily wags through the day, thoroughly enjoys his lap time, loves to get and give hugs and kisses, and simply charms everyone he meets!

Learning the layout of his new home plus his 2 acre yard was a piece of cake for this smart little guy. Plus, he loves his new brother and sister, Harley and Carley – they love him and have welcomed him with open paws, shared their favorite toys, and sit patiently (okay, excitedly) together to share breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He’s even found out how much fun it is to run with them carrying cookies to Daddy in the evening. Not to mention that even though he’s learning something new, he lines up at bedtime waiting to get his teeth brushed and face washed. He snuggles into his cushy bed for a long nights sleep waking happily in the morning, ready for a new day!

When we saw his little face we just knew he belonged with us and are so very happy Piper chose us, too! Thank you for rescuing this perfect little boy for us – We are so happy to be together!

Please enjoy the pics we've sent.

With joy,

Stew, Cyndie, Grandma Thora, Harley, Carley & Piper Hazy

Hey, something's going on….

Come  here and see.  I think it's … Yes … It's that pesky squirrel!!!

I'll get it someday!  I'm getting closer!

Callie and Charlie's family sent us these shots:  "Here's some recent shots of Callie and Charlie (aka Mrs. Paws and Chico).  There is a squirrel that hangs out in the trees in their backyard.  They can't stand this!!  They had him cornered in the tree
this day and Charlie was jumping trying to find him.  He jumps as if he has springs on his paws!"
