A Clean Start
Maddie the collie is ready to start 2010 with clean slate, a fresh outlook and a bath! Her mom Cynthia of Colorado Springs sent us this photo of Maddie "post bath" in late December. Maddie was a regular contributor to You Lucky Dog in 2009. We hope to see more of her squeaky clean self in 2010!

Christmas Morning
Tag the collie spent a great Christmas with his new mom and dad, Judy and Irv of Colorado Springs. Tag had a terrible case of Dermatomyositis on his face when he came into our rescue, but he is healing splendidly. We love to see photos of our adopted dogs smack-dab in the middle of family fun. Irv sent us this cute note: "Tag is 'growing up' and looking better everyday. He is gentle for his age, although a bit exuberant around other animals, including our cat. In order to give him a good cover for his rapidly healing nose, we tell those who ask that he got the scars by saving us from a cougar attack! It helps his self-esteem... (;+)"

Santa's Little Helper
Kirsten sent us this darling photo with adopted sheltie Lorenzo, the Jolly Old Elf himself and kiddos Ben (8) and Isabel (4). Kirsten tells us, "Lorenzo is THE BEST little dog. Such a gentleman, very smart and very loving. We are so very happy to have him sharing our home with us."

O Christmas Tree
Adopter Dave writes: "Paden the sheltie protects the Christmas tree and the loot. He was actually just laying there where I told him to go for the photo op." Dave reports that Paden has now graduated from his intermediate classes in obedience and that he was the star pupil.
